Tylers Game: Ball Maze

-I liked how when the ball touched the black line, the ball automatically moved back to start. I liked how the text, telling you what level you were on etc, was always present.
I also loved the differnt colored backgrounds
Also, the timer and scoring worked perfectly!!!!!!!!!
One aspect I noticed was that at first after the game was completed it would not go back to start, but he fixed it.

click the green arrow to start
-use the arrow keys on your key board to move the penguin
-the object of the game is to touch the octopus order to increase your score
-on the first level you only have 30 seconds to get a score of 3 in order to advance to level 2
-in level 2 you only have 20 seconds to get a score of 5, if time runs out the game is over
**note in level 2 the timer is frozen ==> glitch!!!!!!!

Part III Blog Post Final Reflection.

Although making this game was frustrating and discouraging at times, I believe that I learned a lot from it. I began the layout by being inspired by the cat and mouse game. I liked that game and wanted to do something similar. I also really liked the animals/sprites that I chose. I found it difficult to create rapid and fluent dialogue as well as finding it particularly challenging to make a second level. To master this, i had to use many trials and errors to finally make it possible. Each time i would make a slight change i would test run and try my game. Yes, for the most part it worked as I intended, although my timer was messed up in level 2. I am most proud of how hard it is to increase the score and how the game is both challenging and fun. I am dissapointed that i did not have time to make a third level and that my timer was broken in level 2. In conclusion, I think my game was successful.

Final Unit Project for Scratch

 Final Unit Project for Scratch

My blog is going to have 2 sprites, a fish and a crab. The fish is going to chase the crab by the player moving his or her arrows on the keyboard. Every time the fish gets the crab, the score increases by 2. Once the score has reached 10, the backdrop changes from the surface of the ocean to the ocean florr and a note comes up saying "Level 1."

Level 2 starts out with the fish catching 2 crabs. The player moves the arrows on the keyboard to touch the crabs and each time this happens, the score increases by 2. Once the score has reached 12, the backdrop changes to a party and a note comes up saying the player has won the game! The second level is more difficult because you only have 30 seconds to get both crabs, who are moving faster and your score you need to get to win has increased also/

Throughout the game there is rapid and constant dialogue between the fish and crabs. There is also a timer in which the fish has 30 seconds to catch the crab.
